General information for cages

Our cages do not have an included uplink. The requirements from our client differ too much from person to person. So the uplink for a cage is always based on your specific needs. There is one restriction: our cages cannot have copper uplinks; you can only have fibre channel uplinks.

 

Prices for redundant colocation rack uplinks

 

Internet upstream with personal BGP Session (redundant)

This is a connection with 2 uplinks which terminate in two redundant backbone routers.

This option is for clients with colocation racks or their own colocation cages.
It is available in FSN1-DC2 (Falkenstein), NBG1-DC2 and NBG1-DC4 (both in Nuremberg) and HEL1-DC1 (Helsinki).

Traffic: £ 1.00 ($ 1.20) per TB.

A BGP Session requires two /30 transfer subnets. Each transfer subnet costs £ 6.80 / month and a one-time fee of £ 76.00.

 

Two times 1Gbit/s fiber optic connection (BGP)

once off setup fee £ 300.00 ($ 333.00)
monthly fee £ 200.00 ($ 222.00)

This option requires fiber optic cabling from the meet-me-room to the colocation racks. 

The standard 1 Gbit/s uplink is deactivated.

 

Two times 10Gbit/s fiber optic connection (BGP)

once off setup fee £ 1,500.00 ($ 1665.00)
monthly fee £ 1,000.00 ($ 1110.00)

This option requires fiber optic cabling from the meet-me-room to the colocation racks.

The standard 1 Gbit/s uplink is deactivated.

This is a connection with 2 uplinks which terminate in two redundant backbone routers; it uses VRRP to provide a reduntant gateway.

This option is for clients with colocation racks or their own colocation cages. It is available in FSN1-DC2 (Falkenstein), NBG1-DC2 and NBG1-DC4 (both in Nuremberg) and HEL1-DC1 (Helsinki).

Traffic: £ 1.00 ($ 1.20) per TB.

monthly fee £ 200.00 ($ 222.00)

This option requires fiber optic cabling from the meet-me-room to the colocation racks.

monthly fee £ 1,000.00 ($ 1110.00)

Price for long distance connections

The price depends on the distance. The connection transfer is done in our (Progressive Robot Online's) racks.
